Garry Robertson

National Director, Auto Theft and Vehicle Services

Garry Robertson is National Director, Auto Theft and Vehicle Services. Garry is responsible for auto theft programs and services across Canada, including the repatriation of stolen vehicles, vehicle recovery and vehicle identification.  Since joining IBC in 2002, he has been instrumental in developing a new case management/link analysis program. This program enables investigators to maintain case files and develop investigative briefs.

Garry is a former police officer with the Peel Regional Police Service. Garry’s areas of expertise included advanced fraud and auto theft investigations, undercover operations and the youth bureau. Garry was also a special constable with the Ontario Provincial Police. After leaving the police force, Garry started a private investigation business to focus on insurance and corporate investigations.

Garry holds a certified fraud examiner designation (CFE).  He is a member of the International Association of Auto Theft Investigators.
